Account Executive

Help clients get what they need.

THE JOB

You're one of the first people our clients talk to when they need something. From getting all the details on a new creative project, to research and strategic planning, to managing budgets and keeping track of timelines — simply put, you’re making sure our clients' needs and goals are being met. You’ll likely be working on three or four accounts at any given time.

Depending on the client, your boss will be either an Account Supervisor or an Account Director.

Your annual salary (depending on your qualifications and experience) would start somewhere between $XX,XXX and $XX,XXX. Some of our other benefits:

Most of the staff works from home much of the time, but you might need to come into the office occasionally; luckily, it’s conveniently located in downtown Chicago—and you can bring your dog.
Yes, really.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

You’re super organized and great at juggling rapidly-changing priorities, comfortable talking to clients and internal teams, and ready to learn. You’ve developed project timelines (and made sure the team has stuck to them!), written proposals and creative briefs, and contributed to effective campaign strategies. Getting a scope of work signed is a fist-pump moment for you.

On a more basic level, you’re familiar with how marketing and PR happen—you understand what goes into making a website, you've assisted with ad buys, you’re acquainted with PR and social media best practices, and you can calculate ROI and other important metrics. You know your way around a database, you have solid written communication and presentation skills, and you have experience with Microsoft Office.

Ideally, you’ve spent at least three years working in an agency or corporate marketing setting, and you have a bachelor’s degree in business, advertising, marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field.

ADVANCEMENT OPPORTUNITIES

Based on your experience and outstanding performance, you would be promoted to Senior Account Executive, then to Account Supervisor.
